I've only listened to a handful of FSTs over the years in various fandoms. I generally don't enjoy other peoples' tastes in music, really. But I, as a fellow competitor, was surprised and impressed that you and your team seemed to take a different track than most of us, so I wanted to judge this fairly, that is, not on a gut reaction of 'like' or 'dislike'.

First of all, most of these songs come with a nice little picture with the relevant lyrics. This helped me out a lot because I'm pretty lousy at hearing lyrics the first few times, and to be honest I didn't feel much like going out and finding it on my own. (I mean, I might have. Eventually. But...) But then there were a few that did not come with this picture, and one of them, being in Japanese, really needed it.

Secondly, I really like seeing the progression of the story in the mood of the music. The first track is very "boyish", I would say, suited to Hikaru's carefree early days. The second track-- and I can't describe it properly since I'm not really musically talented --I hope you'll just understand what I mean when I say it seems a lot loftier or maybe somewhat otherworldly when compared to the first, which is kind of a genius Hikaru-Sai match.

Track three I can't comment on well, but track four was excellent. Very sad, very, uhm, ghostly? It's lonely as winter winds, to me. Track five? Sort of low-down, sort of prowling, like Hikaru's search... Six, I can appreciate the lyrics at least. Seven, I genuinely liked-- seems like the kind of song to play out and ending. Half sad, but half heart-lifting, too.

...so, if you can see by my rambling, I really loved this. Like crazy. And I didn't have to like half of the songs-- I just appreciate the thought that went through this. Great job!
